Tom van der Meulen Account Manager
Starting 1 April Tom van der Meulen is employed by Fancom in the position of Account Manager for the German-speaking countries and among others Poland and Scandinavia. Tom is 45 years old, father of 2 sons and lives in Zelhem.
Tom about his new challenge: “before I have worked six years at Hendrix’ Voeders as a quota specialist. In other words: I intermediated in the purchase and sales of milk quota, manure production rights and ammonia rights. In that position I became more and more involved in agricultural real estate and that way – after finishing my real estate education – I became a realtor at Rabomakelaars in Doetinchem. I was mainly active in the so-called Landdijk Vastgoed; agricultural and rural living. After that I started an own agricultural travel agency and in three years’ time I travelled around the world with groups of farmers.
I have always been interested in the farmers’ life, which is why I chose to receive agricultural educations. I still find the agricultural sector very interesting, especially because of the challenges that this sector is facing in the areas of animal welfare, health, environment and the influence of the critical consumer.
Do I still have time for hobbies? Yes, I run, I like to read and I am referee at soccer games. I also like to go sailing and ice skating.
I am convinced to have found a good employer in Fancom and I will do my best to keep my customers satisfied and to increase the sales for Fancom in my area.
